We are now in the most sacred part of the Church year in which we celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The following services will take place at Good Shepherd Anglican Church over the next few days.

Maundy Thursday - 04/17/25 6pm Holy Communion and Stripping of the Altar

This service focusses on the institution of the Eucharist and on Jesus' command to His disciples that they should love one another. It tends with the symbolic stripping, and washing of the altar which marks Our Lord's humiliation before the authorities prior to His crucifixion.

Good Friday - 05/18/25

6:00pm Ante-Communion, Solemn Collects, and Reproaches

This service commemorates the sacrifice of Our Saviour upon the Cross. It contains three elements: the Ante-Communion or Liturgy of the Word, which focusses on the St John-Passion with key theme 'It is finished;' the solemn collects, which are an ancient form of intercession for the Church and for the world; and the Reproaches, which are a meditation on the Passion.

Easter - 04/20/25

11:00am Sung Holy Communion - a festal celebration of Holy Communion with Easter hymns, followed by coffee in the slype. 5:00pm Evensong, followed by Holy Communion

As always, visitors are welcome at Good Shepherd.
